Welcome to Texas Wine Cellars, the newest wine store in Fredericksburg, Texas. Sue and I are very proud to be friends with some fine vintners who make outstanding wines.  The interesting thing about this is these wines are from Texas!  Many of our visitors are shocked to find that Texas makes wine and don’t realize there are 39 active wineries in the state. Our store currently carries wines from 19 of them.  For those of you who prefer the fruit of the grain instead of the fruit of the vine,  we have 119 different beers from around the world as well as an extensive assortment of Texas Gourmet and Gift Items.

"What's a good wine?" and other whines

One of the real pleasures of owning this store is to have a customer come in saying "I don't know a thing about wine..." and finding the right wine for them.  Wine Spectator notwithstanding, I don't care if it's a $200 a bottle wine, if you don't like it, it's not good wine.  To you.  Too many people come in asking "What's your best wine?"  Our response - "The one you like" - is why we have our tasting bar.  We usually have about 30 wines in a wide selection of varietals, meritages and styles for complimentary tasting.  We don't care if you taste one or all, our objective is to find you a wine you like.  So please, explore our site, and more important, stop in and see us when you're in the Fredericksburg area.
